Sam:

All right, y'all, what's up? We are back. I know we've been gone for a little minute, but we are back and we are going to do our best to stay consistent, with the help of the Holy Spirit, because that's really who's going to help us stay consistent, am I right?

Naj:

Yeah, I think.

Sam:

Yeah.

Naj:

I think it's worth giving y'all a little bit of a breakdown of why we've been gone, though.

Sam:

Oh yeah.

Naj:

Because, honestly, it hasn't been for no reason like, we're just like, as you can see yeah, my wife is pregnant with our child.

Sam:

We are pregnant yeah, we are pregnant, that's what they were saying is this we yeah we pregnant, y'all we are pregnant. Thank you, jesus yeah so we pregnant and we moved and we moved, so you can probably. You probably can't tell we're anywhere different because it looks similar. But it does we moved to a whole different city yeah.

Naj:

so what else happened? A lot of changes happened and you know, when life be lifin' it's easy to let yourself start kind of falling into an autopilot. Us taking this break was focusing on what God was doing in us personally, as well as all of the change that was happening in our lives physically as far as location and little baby up in here.

Sam:

Impregnation, location, impregnation, there you go that is hilarious.

Naj:

But yeah, um and two, I was kind of like wanting to be more like low-key in the beginning of my pregnancy because you know you, just you know, want to enjoy that time of just you and like close loved ones, knowing about it and just being in prayer. Um, and honestly, throughout the first little half of our, our pregnancy, there's a lot of trials we were experiencing. Um, it's definitely been a big test of our faith but nonetheless, god has been good, still growing in faith, still learning a lot in our relationship with God.

Naj:

So we're just happy to be back. Hope you guys are happy to see us. I know y'all was like they just dropped off the face of the earth.

Sam:

No, we still in your earth.

Naj:

I mean if you follow us. I mean, I know not everybody follows our personal accounts.

Sam:

Right.

Naj:

But if you follow us, you know that you probably already know the news. You already know a little bit of what's been happening. But, yeah, that's the update.

Sam:

Yeah, life update.

Naj:

Life been lifin'.

Sam:

It has, but in a good way.

Naj:

Yeah.

Sam:

I want to make that term good Like life, been lifin', which means we've been growing.

Naj:

Yeah, lifin', because if life ain't lifin' Doing what it's supposed to do, If life ain't lifin' you dead.

Sam:

But no, we've been growing a lot, especially Life ain't life and you did. But no, we've been growing a lot, especially in trusting God, like she was saying. And you know there was times in these past. Well, it's really been the past five months.

Naj:

Yeah.

Sam:

That I felt like dang, am I even a believer? Dang, I felt that way. Why you say dang like that?

Naj:

Just the way you said it. Am I even a believer? Do I believe?

Sam:

Yeah, because it's just like dang, why am I? You know, sometimes I'm like, why am I so worried about stuff?

Naj:

Because I'm like tell me about it.

Sam:

It's like dang and then you know you see God work and then it's like, okay, All that worrying, yeah, all that worrying for no reason. Yeah, um but it's just like um, because you want things to happen now yeah but it just don't work like that all the time.

Naj:

Sometimes you gotta grow for that thing to happen sometimes you have to find peace before it even happens very true honestly, I experienced something recently where the thing had already happened, but because I was in, so much worry and like fear over it I wasn't taking the action steps that I needed to take in order to find out that it happened already for me.

Naj:

So sometimes you need to find your peace and do what God is telling you to do in order for yeah, you know the manifestation of what you're desiring to happen. So there's a lot of ways in which we may say with our lips we trust God, but our actions show that we clearly do not. And, you know, transparent. We've been seeing that in ourselves, like the areas in which there have been several areas in which we, like you were saying, like you were saying, questioning like am I a believer? Like why am I struggling to trust and be at peace in this situation? Why am I struggling to believe that god will do it or god will show up in this, when he's shown up so many times before? Yeah, I'm still over here stressing out so bad for what reason? Like, why, why am I like this?

Sam:

why am I like this right? But, um well, I just talk about a scripture that helped me in this season that I recently read. It was hebrews 11 6, and it says and without faith living within us, it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith, knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who passionately seek him. And that helped me a lot, because I realized I wasn't really praying. I was just coming to him with complaints and more worry and, like I said I said this on Instagram one day I'm like God wants us to come to him in confidence, like we are confident that he is going to do the thing we're asking him to do because we're seeking him.

Sam:

And I think that's where I was getting lost. The past five months I wasn't seeking him because I guess I didn't really believe that he would reward me for just seeking him, just literally asking him or just literally spending time with him, because I was so focused on the thing that I wanted or that I felt like I needed.

Sam:

so that scripture helped me a lot, because now I really do believe he will reward me for seeking him, and it's like he's not saying he'll reward you for doing the work or doing some external thing. He's going to reward you because you actually were seeking him.

Naj:

Yeah.

Sam:

And that actually seems a lot easier than doing the work, like if you're a business owner and you're trying to scale up to like $100,000, that's me. If you're trying to do that. When you seek him, he rewards you for that, but not necessarily rewarding you for going out here and talking to a bunch of people and trying to book a bunch of clients and stuff like that. He just wants you to seek him, yeah.

Naj:

And in seeking him we get the. Correct answer Correct, not even just plan of action. We get the Holy Spirit-led plan of action.

Sam:

Yeah.

Naj:

But going back to what you were saying about, you were complaining, you weren't praying.

Sam:

Right.

Naj:

I think that happens a lot when we put the thing we desire above our desire for God.

Sam:

Yeah.

Naj:

So it's like, it's almost like okay, I love you, god, you're great and all, but this thing, this is what I really want right now, this is what I need and it becomes kind of like God takes a backseat to that thing and the thing we're wanting just occupies all of our. Like an idol yeah pretty much, and so that's when you have to kind of take a step back and you're like, okay, god Jesus.

Naj:

I thank you. I love you, you are faithful, you've been the same today, yesterday and forevermore. Help me to just be at peace with where I am right now and to know that this very moment is exactly where I need to be. This discomfort I'm in is where I need to be. To understand that I need more of you to understand, to get the lesson, or to receive the lesson that you're trying to reveal to me right now and, I think, when we change our perspective on, you know, trials being or just something to cause pain and discomfort rather than something, but we, when we, should be seeing it as something that is meant for our growth and development okay, okay, you got your five seconds of fame yeah, enough, that's get out of there.

Naj:

Go ahead, sit down sit, sit.

Sam:

But yeah, I kind of wanted to go back to the, because that's. That's one of the ten commandments. Ain't it like idolizing? No god, that's the first one, right? Don't have any other god before me. I want to say it's the first one.

Naj:

That's terrible, I don't remember, it's okay.

Sam:

But you know, it's one of them yeah but, um, yeah, just focusing on the issue so much and it like doesn't give you energy at all. Like it, it depletes my end of my creative energy, my regular energy. So, yeah, I encourage y'all to focus on God instead of the issue.

Naj:

Yeah.

Sam:

Yeah.

Naj:

Speaking to myself as well an accountability group where I was given the assignment to find a scripture that speaks to the thing that I constantly come up against. And the thing I constantly come up against is worry, is worry, anxiety. So I and that could be in anything, honestly so the scripture that I chose to meditate on was don't, oh sorry let me say the scripture first.

Naj:

Philippians 4, 6. We all know this well, most of us know the scripture don't worry about anything. Instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And then it goes on to verse 8 to say fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. And that is that's giving you the recipe for overcoming the worry, because you're clearly, when you're're worried, you're not thinking on those things. Okay, that's not what you're thinking about.

Naj:

You're thinking about all the what ifs yeah the negatives of if this thing don't happen, then I'm have to. If I don't get the money for this bill, I don't know what I'm gonna do. They going to turn my lights off. They're going to do this. You know what I'm saying. You start and then, honestly, it's a rabbit hole.

Naj:

Once you start thinking about that stuff. It's a rabbit hole. But to think on things that are pure, that are lovely, that are true, it takes intentionality. It takes intentionality and I think it's so easy to just fall victim to our negative thought patterns, but it takes discipline to come back and say you know what? No, I rebuke that. I rebuke those thoughts right now, in the name of Jesus and speak it out loud I rebuke those thoughts right now, in the name of Jesus. My God is a provider. I know that I have everything that I need. And you just start to declare the word of God over the situation and think on the times in which God has shown up Because he's faithful.

Naj:

Like I said he never changes. Like I said, he never changes. So we know that if God never changes and he's shown up before, then we already know what's going to happen. He's going to show up, but are you positioning yourself mentally to receive from him? Are you positioning yourself to be at peace? Are you claiming your peace Because he's already given it to us? At peace? Are you claiming your peace Because he's already given it to us? Right, but we just choose to live in unrest, yeah.

Sam:

So it's like, at the end of the day, you have to come to the conclusion it's not even like an educated guess. It's the truth that he's going to come through Period. And I find myself there a lot, because every day is going to be different for you as far as sometimes how you feel or what you I'm not even gonna say accidentally think about, but what you intentionally think about. So just coming to that conclusion is always the best conclusion, and I want to read a scripture that kind of goes with. The scripture you just read is Colossians 3.1. It says Christ's resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that's where Christ sits, enthroned at the place of all power. Honor and authority. Empower, honor and authority is what we have here on earth. So when it says like, yearn for all that is above, I think that's a way of thinking, because that's where Christ is. Christ sits there. Like when you think positively, you are like being in alignment with.

Sam:

God, when you are thinking with faith, you're sitting where Christ sits, because that's all he thinks about. He don't think about the what ifs or the if your bill doesn't get paid.

Sam:

It's not an if for him it is going to get paid, it's already paid. I just need you to align yourself above. I need you to come up here so you can actually receive what I already know you have right. So I just think about it in positioning like that, because when I'm thinking negative thoughts, um, I'm not yearning for above, I'm coming down here to to really a place that's not my nature.

Sam:

I wasn't made to think negative thoughts. That's not how I was made. I was made with the mind of Christ. So that's faith, power, love, honor, glory, heaven, all of those things. So that scripture just reminded me that's what I'm reaching for, that's what I should be yearning for every day, because every day you're going to have a trial. Every day, every week, every month I'm not going to say every day, I don't want to speak that on y'all, but every once in a while you're going to have a trial and just remembering where you need to position yourself, which is above, not below, isn't that that's the scripture? Like I am the head and not the tail I am above and not beneath.

Sam:

You're above because you have the mind of christ. That's where you should be sitting. Um, yeah, and just be confident in that, and that's that's been helping me a lot. That's what the word does.

Naj:

It really helps every day is a reminder to, to choose that mindset, because at this point, because you know when sin entered the world, we, we now have a choice we can live. We can live hell on earth or we can have heaven on earth, and it's, it is a daily choice. Um, and I think just about you know the I lately. When was it? It was like two weeks ago, well, maybe a month now.

Naj:

How long we've been here three weeks okay, three weeks ago, before we moved into this apartment excuse me, my nose a little itchy before we moved into this apartment, I was having a hard time because I was feeling as though I was just facing trials back to back to back to back to back, and I was just like you cannot be serious, like it would just. It just felt like one thing after the next and like you were saying, I was just in a place of complaining. I was like god, why me? I'm tired of this, not something else.

Naj:

Everybody was getting on my nerves because it's like you know, as a business owner people want things from you but you going through, you feel like you going through hell and just get me in a place where I had to listen to him Because, like you were saying, when you get into that place of complaining it's so much harder to just be still and listen.

Sam:

Yeah it is.

Naj:

Like literally shut your mouth.

Sam:

Shut your thoughts off. Can I ask them real quick? You know also, when you're in that place of complaining about one thing, you become more cognizant of more things you can complain about. I'm gonna be honest with you, because if I'm complaining about this one thing when something else that I could probably get over when that comes up, I started complaining about that too, just because I'm already in that mindset.

Naj:

Yeah, everything becomes, you become irritable.

Sam:

There we go. That's the word.

Naj:

And yeah, god had to get me in a place where I had no choice, I had nothing else to turn to, I had nothing else to distract me.

Sam:

Yeah.

Naj:

I got in a place where I just poured my heart out to him and I was quiet to listen for his voice. And the first thing that came over me was this feeling of um conviction that you know you're over here complaining. Why me? Why me, when? What does the scripture say? I it was. Let me go to it because I read James 1,. 2 reads dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow, so let it grow.

Naj:

If it's tested, your endurance has a chance to grow, so let it grow. For when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. And I had to whoop out my journal on this because that scripture spoke to me so differently. And I immediately had to repent because I was over here complaining about the tests, the trials, right when scripture is telling me I need to have great joy when those things come my way. Um and um.

Naj:

Temptations in, I believe, is the greek. It means trial proving the trial of man's fidelity, integrity, virtue and constancy. And I wrote here that the trials or temptations are a test of our character. They show us where we are spiritually and mentally, and the temptation or trial comes to expose our own sinful desires. And so it really helped me understand, like, okay, this is an opportunity for my growth. That means the fact that I'm facing trial after trial after trial. That means there's some serious growth that needs to be done. And God is showing me like OK, I need the growth to happen now, especially in the state that I'm in I'm about to be a mother there is a heightened level of growth and development that you need in order to step into parenthood.

Naj:

So I had to just receive the correction and accept the fact that, okay, this means new levels. Like I'm going to be joyful, I'm going to be glad in the testing because this means new levels, and I'm trusting that I will come out of this better, I will come out of this stronger, I will come out of this proving my integrity, my trust in God. And so, yeah, that was just something that I had to completely shift the way I saw the test, because I was seeing the test as a burden, I was seeing the test as punishment, I was seeing the test as everything other than what Scripture is telling me to see how to deal with, and that is the issue. When it comes to human nature, right, we just immediately resort to what the flesh feels and thinks about a thing rather than resorting to okay.

Naj:

What does god say about this? Tonight's outside of death is completely opposite of what we feel or understand in our own wisdom and this is why successful people are successful because they go exactly by that biblical principle.

Sam:

When they get faced with a challenge, it's like, OK, it's time to grow, so I'm not going to be scared of it. I'm going to lean into it and see how it's going to make me grow even more.

Naj:

Yeah.

Sam:

But I'm just so glad that you read that scripture and it felt that way, because I don't know if you remember it might have been, I just know I don't know what it was. But I was talking to you about that scripture and something rubbed me the wrong way when you said something about it and I was just like about yeah, because you was like I don't want no more tests or something like that and I was just like or something, something happened. I was just like what you mean? You don't think?

Naj:

I said something along the lines that I'm good with the test I got. I don't need no more.

Sam:

It's like I don't need no more and I'm over there like I was over there, like god, if, if that's what it is, this what it is, because like I'm over there like yo, just bring it on, and you over there like I'm good and honestly, and that was in that.

Naj:

I was in that victim mindset of like oh my gosh. What was me have to keep experiencing these negative experiences? That was the mindset I was in. So I was, of course, like I ain't asking for more. Honestly, you better be careful what you ask for, because I want no more. But I think you had prayed like Lord, something along the lines of you know, if this is, your will bring it on something like that, because I was in the mindset of you know what because, I was.

Sam:

I. I had read that scripture earlier that week and I was developing the joy, so I was like shoot, why not me? You know what I'm saying, and it's like I'm in a position too, just like you. You about to be a mother, I'm about to be a father, so I feel like these tests are strategic yeah like we should be going through if we're.

Sam:

So I feel like these tests are strategic. Yeah, like we should be going through. If we're not, I feel like it's an issue Like y'all not growing and y'all about to have a child what's going on? But anyway, beyond that it's just like in the scripture, I think. It says you can be perfect, and one time I like studied that word perfect and it meant spiritually mature. And how. That's the perfection that it's talking about.

Naj:

I actually have it written right here Brought to its end, finished. Wanting nothing necessary to completeness, consummate human integrity and virtue Full grown.

Sam:

Mature.

Naj:

Mature, yeah, lacking nothing to make human integrity and virtue full grown mature Lacking nothing and that is what we want. That is what we want who God created us to be, and we always say that. Right, we say it's who God created us to be.

Naj:

But then, when the tests come for us to be who God created us to be, we don't be being who god created us to be, but then, when the tests come for us to be who god created us to be, we don't be being who god created us to be. It's so funny, but it's just the truth. Like we all, we always come face to face with our human nature and we have to make a decision am I going to be focused on the flesh and what the flesh wants, or am I going to woman up, spirit, man up and trust that I am who God called me to be in this moment?

Naj:

called me to be in this moment and I can implore the mind of christ right now, is it implore, employ, yeah, yeah, the mind of christ right now. I don't have to, I don't need anything extra, just to be who he's called me to be, that's good, and when you're being who he's called you to be, everything you need is attracted to you.

Sam:

And I feel like you notice it more. Yeah, Because it's there. It's just like you start seeing it more when you're being who you're supposed to be, Because in the Bible I want to say it might be John. He's giving you everything you need for life and godliness. Those are the only two things you need, like your earth is life and godliness. Life to be alive. Godliness to fulfill your purpose but.

Sam:

I wanted to, um, basically go to. So basically, when I was in school, sometimes I would study right and then I get to the test and forget everything. And then some days, when it was subjects I liked, I would study, get to the test, ace that game, and the only difference with that was the subjects I did not like the most. I would study just for memorization and, depending on how I'm feeling, depending on what I ate, depending on the night I had before, would tell me like, am I really going to remember, memorize that information and be able to do it on test time. Most of the time no. But then the subjects I liked when I studied it, I meditated on that stuff and I had an understanding of it, meditated and had an understanding and that's why it's the test and it's just like that in real life.

Sam:

Most of us do not like the trials. Most of us don't like trials. So when we're studying the word regarding trials, it's like we just do it for memorization, but when it comes up, we forget everything we just read and studied about. But some, for some people, when it comes to money, they're going to read the word and they're going to really understand it. They're going to meditate on it or when it comes to basically other things, we'll read the word, meditate on it and we'll really understand and be able to pass the test when it comes time for that. So I just think now the word is hitting us different and we're meditating more so on, like James and Colossians that actually speak to the test, and it's like now we're being able to pass these tests because we actually have a complete understanding of the scripture. Now, because there's plenty of times we've read that before. I believe we read James together a while ago but now it's just hitting different. Now we're applying that stuff because you really understand it and we've meditated on it.

Naj:

I won't even say I have a complete understanding, because I feel like there's still more. I don't even feel like I'm sure there's still more to be revealed in that, but, um, I think it's a more applied understanding where. I'm not just reading it, and no, I know the Bible says that, but I'm applying it to my life instead of just reading it and it sounds good, you know it sounds like the right thing to do, but in reality I'm not applying it.

Naj:

And that's what a lot of Christians are doing, right, they, they know the word, but they don't literally apply it to their life, and that is why you don't see any fruit. That's why you don't see. That's why you see is more of what you don't want, because that's what you're choosing to focus on. And, of course, that's not to say that certain tests come because of how you were thinking right. Sometimes they come because it's simply to see if you will continue to think good thoughts, if you will continue to trust god, you might be doing good. Then a test, a test you ain't never experienced before, will come, and are you?

Sam:

gonna keep, are you gonna?

Naj:

keep trusting me? Are you gonna stay consistent in your word, are you gonna stay consistent in declaring what I say about you and we? Just have to keep thinking, taking it as joy. Yeah, this is A joyous occasion to face test.

Sam:

To be in the fire. But, I wanted to go back when you said a lot of people read it but don't actually apply it. That goes back to trust. Do you actually trust that the word is truth and it really works. He rewards those who diligently seek him, who seek the word and trust what the word says. And I had to question myself about that. I'm like do I actually trust what I'm reading or do I just know it's the right thing to do?

Naj:

Or do?

Sam:

I just know I'll be able to go back to this scripture when someone is. For somebody else, yeah for somebody else, but not for myself. Yeah, for somebody else yeah for somebody else, but not for myself.

Naj:

Yeah, and I just want to practically talk about what it looks like to say you trust God, but your actions don't align. So, for example, it could be as simple as you face something where do a simple one. You need provision for something, you need money to pay a bill, you need money to do something right and you know you give it to God, you say you give it to God, you pray and ask God, lord, please provide the funds for this, that and the third From there pay attention to how you feel in your body. I know I'm not trusting God when I feel anxiety, and for me, anxiety I can feel the exact emotion. It feels like a tightness, like. It just feels like a tightness in your body and it feels like unease, it feels like panic.

Naj:

It feels like it doesn't feel calm, it doesn't feel relaxed. So those are things you could pay attention to. If you are lacking if you're literally lacking peace, you're not trusting God, point blank, period. It could be a hard pill to swallow, but if you don't have peace because the scripture says, worry about nothing, nothing, that don't be it, don't say, well, you could worry about that, no, nothing.

Sam:

So if you don't have peace, you're not trusting God, period and I just wanted to add on don't worry about anything, right? Instead it says pray about everything and do you know. Praying is communicating with God. Therefore, you are seeking him. You will pray when you fully trust him yeah, you won't worry about it. And if you do catch yourself worrying about it, if you really trust him, you're going to pray, because that's what the word says pray about everything.

Sam:

So communicating with him is seeking him and and like, communication is not always saying something, it's sitting there being still and listening, allowing him to communicate with you.

Sam:

So those scriptures go hand in hand. Literally, it's telling you what to do and it's telling you what will happen if you actually diligently seek him. You'll be rewarded, and you'll be rewarded with peace of mind. You know what I'm saying? That peace of mind will help you make better decisions with what you should do next. You also be rewarded with direction, instruction. That's a reward.

Sam:

I don't think we see that as a reward. God telling you or putting on your mind an idea of what to actually do, rather than just doing it for you that's a great reward, because it's like you still have some. What's the word? I'm looking for Responsibility and like isn't that what we want from our parents? We want them to give us responsibility. Isn't that what we want from our father? For him to give us some responsibility, not for him to do everything for us. So to me, that is the reward he's going to actually give you what you need, or help you realize that you have what you need in order to do what you need to do, and I think that's the reward the bible is talking about.

Sam:

That's what I think the reward is I know that it's what it is for me, so, and I receive it every single time mean I'm pretty sure his rewards are plentiful.

Naj:

There's all types of rewards.

Sam:

Yeah.

Naj:

It could be what you're saying. It could be that he's putting it on somebody's heart to bless you. Because that happens too. So it's just releasing our way of thinking it needs to happen and fully submitting to how God is going to make it happen, because we know it's going to, that he's going to. We have to let go of our idea of how it needs to happen and I mean that's it right there, trusting God in action and not just saying you trust him and completely not trusting him.

Naj:

Because if you say you trust God and then in the next breath, you complaining, you worrying, you, doubting, you, just null and void yeah the statement you just made.

Naj:

Like no, you don't, but okay, and we, we all have done it, we've all been guilty and it just takes that revelation. It takes a personal encounter with God to really get it. You know what I'm saying. Like it takes, yeah, that's why whenever I pray for people, I pray that they have a personal encounter with God. Yeah, because it's like we can explain these things from our experience, but if you don't experience it, it just don't hit the same Right. It can bring a certain level of revelation and understanding to you, but when you experience it, it's just like it's different, life-changing, amen. But when you experience it, it's just like it's different Life changing.

Sam:

Amen. So I encourage all y'all to put your money where your mouth is.

Naj:

He said I encourage y'all, y'all.

Sam:

I said all y'all.

Naj:

Oh, all y'all, I encourage all y'all to put your money where your mouth is.

Sam:

Let's just stop saying we trust God and not, in our hearts, really trust him.

Naj:

Yeah, just stop saying we trust God and not in our hearts really trust him?

Sam:

yeah, because only holding ourselves back from being perfect or seeing the success we want to see, we're holding ourselves back. We're not, um, wowing anybody by saying I trust God, just trust God. Like you know, I'm saying Like we just got to really do it. Yeah, we just got to really do it, just do it, yeah, and put in the comments. Let's see what can y'all put in the comments. I want y'all to put in the comments. Wow, look at her mic.

Naj:

What? I don't know what happened.

Sam:

I want y'all to put in the comments something you're trusting God for. Just do something you're trusting God for, just do that. Put it out in the air and if you in the comments and you see what other people are trusting God for, pray for that for them as well yeah, let's just pray for each other.

Naj:

Definitely going to be praying for everyone. Yeah, um, that, you know, puts their their trusting in God. Comment in the comments.

Sam:

And I'm going to start it. I'm trusting God to go full time in our business.

Naj:

Amen.

Sam:

Full time in our business and to make double what we are making right now. That's what I'm trusting God for.

Naj:

Amen.

Sam:

That's just one thing. There's plenty of things, but that's my one thing for right now. What about you?

Naj:

oh, um, let's see, put me on the spot sorry, not sorry, just let us know I just wasn't thinking about. Like there's a lot of things I'm trusting God to pivot me in this season and within our business, but specifically in how I do business, but to reveal the formula, like the secret sauce you know what I'm saying like I'm trusting God to reveal it and, yeah, does that make sense?

Sam:

yeah, reveal the formula for, like business success for my your, our business, my our personal business success.

Naj:

And the reason I say my is specifically because, as an entrepreneur who's expecting there's this, like I'm, have this heightened awareness that there's gonna come a time, a period, once this child is conceived, that I am not going to be able to work and I don't want you to work either. When that happens, well praise the lord, but y'all know, if you an entrepreneur, you know how it is.

Naj:

Yeah, so just what I need to be doing in this time for us to be set financially for when this child comes and we don't have to or I don't have to be concerned with working, yeah, and adjusting to motherhood.

Sam:

And also when you put that thing in the comments, I want you all to expect that it's going to happen, Like start to get hype, like anticipation that it's actually going to happen. I just want to share something real quick.

Naj:

So we were trying to get Nadja medical coverage right maternity coverage because I had insurance right but then after I got pregnant found out that it did not cover anything maternity but go ahead.

Sam:

And then one night, um, you know, we talked about it a little bit and we prayed about it, of course, and then I was like you know what I was telling her. I'm going to just imagine you calling me, like, as I fall asleep tonight, I'm going to use my imagination and just imagine you calling me and telling me that you've been approved. That's what I did and I literally fell asleep. I just kept having these dreams about me picking up the phone, because it was just weird that it was me picking up the phone and hearing you say it wasn't like you telling me in person. It was like that's what I was imagining the whole night. And then, you know, I go about my day, got up, went to work and I'm just chilling there and I was like I fully expected you to do it, just chilling there, and I was like I fully expected you to do I didn't know when but, I, just expected you at some point to call me and tell me I've been approved.

Sam:

And I heard your voice, I heard the joy, I was excited and let me tell you, the next day it literally happened. She called me and I wasn't expecting you to tell me, I just you called me and I was just like hey, he was like I've been approved and you said it the same exact way. I heard it in my dream and it was just. It was not spooky, it was just. It was unreal, because I thought I was dreaming.

Sam:

I really still thought I was dreaming. I was like, so I just paused for a second. I was dreaming. I was like, so I just paused for a second. I was like woo, I can just start going crazy.

Naj:

You were like I knew it and I kept saying I was like I knew it.

Sam:

I knew it, Like it was just so wild, but God had already orchestrated it for it to happen, Like it was going to happen on that day regardless. But I just had an anticipation about it and I was just so excited that she was going to call me. And it literally happened the next day, which made it so funny to me. But that boosted my faith, though, to believe even more and to imagine these things coming into my life. And I think the hard part is I could easily imagine that for you, but stuff for me. It's been harder to imagine it. So that's what'm gonna be working on.

Naj:

That's how it is yeah, in general, like it's so much easier for us to have faith for other people than it is to have it for ourselves. Um, but because I feel the same way like he was. I felt like he was way more confident in the fact that that was going to happen than I was. But on that same morning I did get into alignment Come on. Okay and I wrote down my vision for what I wanted my labor and just maternity experience in general to be, and part of that was the having the medical coverage I needed.

Naj:

Um, and that same day found out that I was approved for the coverage that I needed and I had been waiting for. Let me let y'all know it was. I think the first time I tried to apply was in July, so you know it was a couple months. I was getting a little anxious, I was getting a little concerned, but I had to just trust god, stop doubting, stop worrying yeah and, honestly, just take a a pause yes took a little pause break on it and came back and, of course, as he does, he worked it out amen.

Sam:

So I encourage y'all to trust god and that thing you're trusting him for. Put it out in the air, but then just expect for it to happen in jesus name, amen, amen, don't forget, leave your comments so we can pray for you yes comments go go now. Go go, all right.
